Follow the Correct Lubrication Guidelines

They should have specific requirements as far as what type of lubrication product to use and when to use it on your submersible well pump. Just follow their lubrication suggestions to the letter and then overheating and friction won't be probable. 

Monitor Temperature of the Motor

The component that powers your submersible well pump and thus helps it move water to your home is the motor. A well-functioning pump motor shouldn't ever overheat, and this is something to keep an eye on. If the motor has a temperature gauge, it will be easy to tell if it's overheating or not.
